Potosi Man Facing 30 Child Sexual Abuse Felonies gets Bond Reduction
(Potosi) A Washington County man facing 30 felonies in Washington County had his bond reduced to 100-thousand dollars by Judge Patrick King.
48-year-old Phillip A. Emily Jr. of Potosi also had his preliminary hearing delayed until November 22nd.
Emily Jr. faces 28 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and two counts of second-degree child molestation.
A news release from the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s office said Emily was charged on April 12th of this year.
The complaint alleges that between July 8th of 2021 and April 27th of 2022, Emily Jr. frequently perpetrated various sexual abusive acts on a single victim less than 12-years-old.
The allegations against Emily Jr. include various types of acts of abuse spanning across several different locations but all include the same child.
