Potosi Prison Inmate Dies

(Potosi) Another inmate from a local prison has died this week.
A news release from the Missouri Department of Corrections says 62-year-old Kirk Jones, an inmate at the Potosi Correctional Center, died today.
Jones was serving life without parole for first degree murder, first degree arson and injury to a person out of St. Louis City.
Jones was first sent to prison in November of 1989.
An autopsy will be conducted.
This is the third prison inmate in a week that has died locally.
Earlier this week, an inmate from the Bonne Terre prison died and an inmate from the Farmington prison died.
