Potosi Takes On Central To Open Up Spring Softball On KREI

(Potosi) Spring softball returns to the Regional Radio airwaves when the Central Rebels take on the Potosi Trojans Monday afternoon. You can hear the game on AM 800 KREI and online at MyMoInfo.com.

Central has a record of 5-4 on the year having won their last two games by a combined score of 22-0. Runs may be harder to come by Monday when the Rebels face all-state pitcher and Mizzou commit Sami Huck.

Central coach Taylor Geile says her team will need to have their bats in tip-top shape.

Potosi is 6-3 this season. The reigning Class 2 state runner-ups picked up a weekend win over last season’s state semifinal foe, Diamond.

The Trojans won’t have an easy day at the plate either because they’re going against Dream Team pitcher Allie Kelly. Potosi coach Mariah Coleman tells us what her team needs to do at the plate.

Potosi and Central faced off four times last year with each team winning two games. You can hear the game Monday afternoon at 4:15 on AM 800 KREI.
