Potosi Travels to West County in Girl’s Basketball Showdown on J98

(Leadwood) Tomorrow girl’s basketball returns to J98 The Boot and it is a Small vs Large School matchup in the MAAA as the West County Lady Bulldogs host the Potosi Lady Trojans. West County is 2-2 on the season and is coming off a second-place finish in the Valley of Caledonia Tournament, losing the championship game to South Iron 59-37. Head Coach Bobby Simily said he learned a lot about his young team throughout the tournament.

Simily is no stranger to the veteran-led Lady Trojan lineup. He says it should be a good matchup.

Potosi is 2-1 with wins against Arcadia Valley and Fredericktown and a loss to Central in the Championship of the Fredericktown Tournament. Head Coach Allie Golden has started to see some great play out of Junior Emily Hochstatter, who scored 18 points in the matchup against the Number 2 team in Class 4.

Coach Golden says her team will need to get back to the basics against the Lady Bulldogs.

West County hosts Potosi tomorrow on J98. The Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show starts at 6:30 with tip-off scheduled for 6:45.
