Potosi’s Whitaker named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Potosi) Potosi Trojans senior Michelle Whitaker is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

Whitaker has been one of the most dominant girls’ tennis players in the Parkland throughout her career, and she brought home her second singles conference title in the last 3 years to prove that point.

But she didn’t stop there, capping the week by winning a singles title in Class 1 District 2 as well.

Trojans head coach Danny Mueller says Whitaker will not settle for second best.

Whitaker is 20-2 in her senior season as she prepares for the Class 1 sectionals this weekend.

As Athlete of the Week, she receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
