Random Acts Of Kindness Is This Month

(Washington County) This is a big month for the group Shayley’s Angels. The group was formed back in 2016 to help promote depression, anxiety and suicide prevention efforts. Lela Thompson is the founder of Shayley’s Angels. She says it’s something that’s very personal for her and her family.

One of the ways they do that is with Random Acts of Kindness, which is celebrated on August 31st. Thompson says just like the name says, people are encouraged to go out that day and perform random acts of kindness. She says there are numerous ways of doing that.

Random Acts of Kindness Day was made a countywide holiday several years ago in Washington County, and last year, it was declared a statewide holiday in Missouri. For more information you can go to the Shayley’s Angels facebook page.
