Representative McGirl Discusses Latest Bill on Personal Property Taxes

(Southeast Missouri) State Representative Mike McGirl of Potosi is the vice-chair of the House Ways and Means Committee.

Last week, a bill on personal property taxes was on that committee’s calendar. McGirl provides details on this bill.

McGirl has heard from some groups who are against eliminating personal property taxes but he wants to hear from many more of his constituents in Washington and Jefferson counties.

Representative McGirl also wants to hear from individuals and other groups in his district on what they think about the bills that are in circulation that would increase the state’s gas tax.
