(CRYSTAL CITY, Mo.) The annual Rolla “Duke” Herbert Boys Basketball Tournament is set to hit the KJFF airwaves Tuesday evening as it marks the return of Jefferson County hoops to the airwaves.

Four Jefferson County teams, and five teams from the JCAA Small School Conference will participate in the tournament. Crystal City, Jefferson, Grandview, Herculaneum, and St. Vincent join the St. Louis Patriots, St. Paul High School, and the defending champion Saxony Lutheran Crusaders at the tournament.

Night one was Monday night and saw the number one seeded Saxony Lutheran Crusaders top eighth seeded St. Paul (Farmington) 95-21. Second seeded St. Vincent saw similar success in an 85-66 win over seventh seeded St. Louis.

The first game on KJFF will be host Crystal City taking on Herculaneum. These two teams battled at the end of last year with the Hornets spoiling any hopes of Herculaneum earning a chance to win the small school conference title in a 57-49 win.

Game two on the night will be another county match-up as the sixth seeded Grandview Eagles will take on the third seeded Jefferson Blue Jays. Grandview will welcome back senior Koby Klaus who missed all of last season with an ACL injury. The winner will get St. Vincent in round two.

It’s the beginning of boys’ hoops action for the 2017-2018 season on KJFF as we bring you the Rolla “Duke” Herbert Tournament beginning at five o’clock Tuesday evening as Crystal City takes on Herculaneum.
