Seckman's Ruble named Applebee's of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Imperial) Seckman Jaguars junior Cole Ruble is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

Ruble finished off a dominant wrestling season by winning the Class 4 state championship at 160 pounds Saturday night at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

He needed just 50 seconds to pin Davion King of Carthage in the title bout, finishing the season with a record of 42-5.

It’s a huge leap for Ruble, who reached the state tournament last year but did not medal.

Seckman also made a jump as a team, reaching second in the Class 4 standings after finishing 10th in 2020.

As Athlete of the Week, Cole Ruble receives a t-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
