SEMO Falls in Game 1 of Oxford Regional

(Oxford) Southeast Missouri fell to 12th ranked Ole Miss in the first game of the Oxford Regional 6-3. Valle Catholic alum Connor Basler went 2-4 at the plate with a double, but the Redhawks couldn’t match up with The Rebels. Ole Miss took an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third and never looked back. SEMO did their best to make things interesting at the top of the fifth, making the score 4-2. However, The Redhawks would only get two hits and one run for the rest of the game. SEMO looks to avoid elimination as they face Southern Mississippi tomorrow morning at 11.
