Shayley’s Angels Impacted By COVID
(Washington County) Shayley’s Angels, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Washington County with a goal of raising depression and suicide awareness. Lela Thompson is the founder of the group. She says with the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been tough to meet with people to get the word out about what they are doing.
Shayley’s Angels also established Random Acts of Kindness Day as August 31st, which has since become an official holiday in Washington County. There is an effort underway to make it a state holiday, but the pandemic has brought that to a halt for now.
If you’d like more information about the group, or to get more information on suicide and depression awareness, you can check out their Facebook page as well as their website, shayleysangels.org.
