Sheriff Dave Marshak plans to run for another term

(Hillsboro) Current Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak announced this week that he plans to run for another term. Sheriff Marshak first took office in 2017, after winning his election bid in 2016. He says he plans to keep things moving in the right direction.
Sheriff Marshak ran unopposed in 2020 and began his second term as sheriff in 2021. As of now, there has been no official announcement of anyone running against him, however, the official filing period will not open until February 2024.
