(Hillsboro) Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak will begin another four-year term as sheriff next year. Marshak ran unopposed in both the August Primary and the November Presidential General elections. Sheriff Marshak says while he’s happy with how the first four years have gone, he’s ready to continue to move the office forward during his next term.

The last four years included the passage of Proposition P which added additional officers and an increase in salaries to keep their officers, equipment upgrades like the body scanner at the jail, and adding tasers, cost-saving measures within the jail, just to name a few.

Sheriff Marshak highlights upgrading the Zone Offices, adding an upgraded and larger crime lab, and plans for a new jail as some of the projects for the next four years.
