Shortcut in Park Hills through Mineral Area College may Soon See Larger Police Presence

(Park Hills) A shortcut many take in Park Hills through Mineral Area College property may receive a bigger police presence in the not to distant future.

Discussion took place at Tuesday night’s Park Hills City Council meeting on transferring Dixie Kohn Drive from the college to the City for safety purposes.

Also, more discussion took place on possible future changes to trash collection in Park Hills.

In other news from this week’s Park Hills City Council meeting, it was announced two parking spaces in front of Hart of the Wash at 310 West Main Street are now designated 15-minute parking spaces.

Approval was given for the purchase of a 2018 Nissan Frontier V-6 pickup truck from Bommarito Chevy-Mazda South in St. Louis.

A 2011 Chevy Impala was used as a trade-in to help offset the cost of the newer vehicle.

Also, McFarland wants to remind residents that Park Hills City Hall will be closed Thursday for Veterans Day.
