South Iron Teams Remain #1 in Coaches State Basketball Rankings With Several More Local Schools Near Top

(Farmington) The latest state high school basketball rankings were released Wednesday by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association and we still have several local teams at the top or near the top in their respective class.

In girls Class 1, South Iron remains number 1 in the state.

In Class 2 girls, St. Vincent sits in the number 6 spot.

Class 3 girls, West County is 8th, St. Pius 11th and the Steelville Lady Cardinals are 14th.

The Central Lady Rebels have dropped to 7th in Class 4 and the Farmington Knightettes are 8th in Class 5.

In boys Class 1, South Iron remains at the top spot and the Bunker Eagles fall two spots to 4th.

In boys Class 2, Greenville is ranked 7th.

The Steelville Cardinals are ranked 6th in boys Class 3.

Central drops to 5th in boys Class 4 and in boys Class 5, Festus is ranked 13th.
