South Iron Volleyball Are Runner-Ups In Class One; Best Finish In School History

(Cape Girardeau) The South Iron volleyball team are Class One runner-ups. The Panthers fell to Advance in the state championship in straight sets (13-25, 13-25, 20-25) Saturday afternoon at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. It’s the Hornets’ fifth title in the last six seasons. We broadcasted that match on J-98. After the match, coach Megan Williams gave all the credit to Advance and Hall of Fame coach Erin Hoffman.
Williams is proud of her girls for making it that far.
Williams spoke about her three seniors, beginning with Enzley Dinkins.
South Iron finishes the season with a record of 22-10-4. This was their best finish as a volleyball team in school history.
