St. Francois County Surpasses 1,000 Cases of Coronavirus

(Park Hills) St. Francois County continues to be a hot spot in the spread of the coronavirus.

Amber Elliott, the director of the St. Francois County Health Department, says the grand total of confirmed cases in the county have now passed a thousand.

Elliott says the health department is looking for public input during the next few days on the topic of mask wearing and other public health policy for St. Francois County.

The coronavirus death count for the rest of the listening area according to the Missouri Covid-19 Dashboard, Jefferson County has 31 deaths, Franklin County has 19, Cape Girardeau County 7, Perry County has 4 deaths while Bollinger, Crawford, Shannon, Ste. Genevieve and Washington counties have one coronavirus-related death each.
