(FESTUS) The St. Pius boys basketball team won at home Wednesday night over Herculaneum 66-47. Lancers coach Chris Miller said his squad had a good second quarter.
According to Miller, the Lancers were led in scoring by John Whitman who scored 21 points. Miller says Whitman is coming back well after he sat out a couple of recent games due to a sprained ankle.
Herculaneum head coach Jason Jarvis said the Cats struggled with scoring from the outside and they had a hard time containing Whitman.
The Lancers are now (9-10) and will play at St. Vincent (11-8) Friday night. Meanwhile, Herculaneum slips to (6-11) and they will play at Grandview (7-11) Friday night.
