St. Pius volleyball star Otec commits to Missouri State

One of the best players in a proud tradition of St. Pius Lancers volleyball is heading off to play the game at the next level.
Senior hitter Caly Otec announced that she is committing to attend and play at Missouri State University.
Otec says the Springfield campus is a perfect fit for her life on and off the court.
Otec was a dominant force in her career, especially as a senior.
The Regional Radio Dream Team player of the year bashed 299 kills last season to help St. Pius reach the state Final 4 for the 3rd time in 4 years and finish second in Class 2.
Otec says her time in Festus was a great primer for the college game.
With 2 state championships and 2 All-State selections to go with all her other honors, Otec says now the next step is living out a dream.
The Missouri State Bears went 7-11 in conference play and 10-22 overall last year.
