Ste. Genevieve County Man Gets Prison for Child Porn Charges

(Ste. Genevieve County) The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Cape Girardeau has announced that a Ste. Genevieve County man has been given a hefty prison sentence after being convicted on federal child pornography charges.

61-year-old Timothy Ray White was sentenced to 108 months or just over 9-years in federal prison for the receiving child porn.

White appeared for his sentencing hearing Tuesday.

According to court documents, on October 6th of 2022, a search warrant was executed at White’s residence where numerous electronic devices were seized.

White was present during the execution of the warrant and admitted he had “tons” of child porn on his devices.

Further investigation revealed thousands of photos and videos depicting child porn.

White admitted he was addicted to child porn.

After serving his time behind bars, White will be placed on supervised release for the rest of his life.

He will also have to register as a sex offender.
