Ste. Gen’s Gegg steps in at QB, becomes Dream Teamer

Logan Gegg was asked to take on a big responsibility in his senior season at Ste. Genevieve.

Gegg had to take over for starting quarterback Chad Donze, but he more than succeeded, earning his own Regional Radio Dream Team nod.

Gegg says he learned a lot from his signal-calling predecessor.

The 2018 season ended early for Ste. Genevieve with a first-round playoff loss to Dexter.
But with Gegg under center, the Dragons went 8-4 and reached the Class 3 District 1 championship game.

Gegg says his fellow seniors were committed to a better 2019 from the start of preseason workouts.

Gegg finished with 1,600 yards passing and 17 touchdowns while being unanimously named first-team all-conference in the MAFC White division.

He credits part of his success to his relationship with head coach Ken Weik.

Gegg will be playing baseball this spring for the reigning-district-champion Ste. Gen Dragons.
