Stealing from unlocked vehicles still an issue

(Hillsboro) Law enforcement is still seeing a high number of subjects stealing from unlocked vehicles across Jefferson County. Sheriff Dave Marshak says many residents continue to make it too easy by simply not locking their doors and in some cases leaving the keys inside.

Sheriff Marshak says many subjects will not make the effort to break a window to get inside.

Sheriff Marshak says they do continue to get evidence and issue warrants.

Most of the stealing from vehicle cases have been in northern or northwestern Jefferson County, but they continue to happen throughout the area.
