(High Ridge) Students at Woodridge Middle School in High Ridge had the rare opportunity to speak with astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) in mid December.

Northwest School District Superintendent Dr. Desi Kirchhofer says students had a brief window to ask astronauts questions about everyday life in space.

Dr. Kirchhofer mentions they were able to talk with the astronauts on the ISS through Ham radio.

It was around 9:30 in the morning on December 12th when students were able to speak with the crew of the ISS.
