Sunrise R-9 District has two propositions on the April election ballot

(DeSoto) There are a few local school districts looking to pass propositions during the upcoming municipal election. One of those is the Sunrise R-9 District located near DeSoto. Sunrise Superintendent Dr. Armand Spurgin says Proposition BEAM is a bond issue that will help with several building improvements.

Spurgin says the other proposition is Prop KIDS and it is asking voters to approve moving funds from one place to another.

Proposition BEAM will need a 4/7ths majority or 57 percent to pass, while Propositions KIDS will need a simple majority to pass. Voters in the Sunrise R-9 School District will decide both issues during the municipal election on Tuesday, April 4th.
