(Ironton) Honeybees are so important to all of us. Greg Hitchings is a member of the Parkland Beekeepers Association.
He explains why the honeybee is one of the keys to human survival.
A new type of beekeeping for Missouri farmers and others to take advantage of could be something called “solar beekeeping”.
According to a news release from the Center for Rural Affairs, placing beehives on or near solar energy sites can enhance the value of that land by keeping it in agricultural production and providing new streams of income for farmers.
It also has many environmental benefits.
