A black 4-door Chevy Silverado crashed into a field owned by Regional Radio.

From tire tracks and the track of debris that had flew out of the truck, what happened was quite evident.

The truck had been coming into Farmington from ‘H-H’ Highway.

The unidentified driver, a man who looked to be in his 60s, failed to make it around the big curve to continue on ‘H-H’ or he failed to make the turn onto KREI.

The truck first came off the roadway by striking an underground buried cable sign.

He continued on to a large concrete drainage ditch, the truck caught air for a short time, the Chevy made it across the drainage ditch, continued on through the field, just missing a concrete post that holds up the KREI radio tower.

The truck then stopped.

Tia Caldwell and her husband Brandon were the first on the scene.

They live on the corner of KREI and Burkstone Street.

Tia actually saw part of the accident.

Here’s what Brandon told us.

Caldwell and his wife took care of the man until emergency crews arrived.

The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
