Truck struck by train in Kimmswick kills one, injures two more

(Kimmswick) One person was killed and two others were injured as a train struck a pick-up truck in Kimmswick Monday morning. Corporal Logan Bolton with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident took place on Windsor Harbor Road at the Union Pacific train tracks at around 11 AM.

The train struck the driver’s side of the pick-up. The driver, 61-year-old Edward Barczewski of St. Louis was pronounced deceased at the scene by Rock Community Fire Protection District personnel. A female passenger, 57-year-old Tamara Barczewski of St. Louis was airlifted to SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital with serious injuries. A three-year-old male passenger was taken by ambulance to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital with moderate injuries.
