Two De Soto Residents Injured In Two-Car Accident

(De Soto) Two De Soto residents were injured in a two-car accident Tuesday in Jefferson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Sara Kimbrough of Desoto was traveling eastbound on Highway 110 when 76-year-old Juanita Carrithers of Desoto failed to yield and turned into the path of Kimbrough’s vehicle. The front of Carrithers vehicle, a 2014 Chevrolet Impala, then struck the front of Kimbrough’s vehicle, a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
According to the Patrol, Carrithers received serious injuries while Kimbrough received minor injuries. Both drivers were taken to Mercy Hospital South by Valle EMS.
The accident happened on Highway 110 at Fountain City Road at 11:09 Tuesday morning.
