Two DeSoto residents injured in Hwy 67 crash

A two-vehicle accident sent two DeSoto residents to the hospital on Friday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that a Ford F-150 driven by 34-year-old Ironton resident Robert Morris, was stopped on westbound Montauk Drive at Highway 67, as he pulled onto Highway 67, he failed to yield to a northbound Jeep driven by 84-year-old Shirley Boyer of DeSoto and struck her, causing her vehicle to overturn. Boyer and her passenger, 69-year-old Judith House, also of DeSoto, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South, Boyer with moderate injuries, House with minor injuries. The accident happened at 3:29 PM on Friday afternoon.
