Two High Ridge Women Involved in Two-Vehicle Accident

A High Ridge woman is facing serious injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Jefferson County on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 92-year old Joyce Buckey of High Ridge was traveling westbound on Highway 30 between High Ridge and House Springs, when she turned in front of a Kia Optima driven by 21-year old Alexis McAteer also of High Ridge, who was traveling in the eastbound lane. Buckey was taken to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries. McAteer was not injured.
