Two Jefferson County residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Washington County Monday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 23-year old Steven McMahan of DeSoto was driving a 2011 Honda Accord and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 21 and Missouri 104 and struck a 2017 Chevy Malibu driven by 35-year old John Nowak of Festus. Both Nowak and McMahan were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South, Nowak with moderate injuries and McMahan with minor injuries. The accident took place just after 11 o’clock Monday morning.
