Unemployment Jumps In Missouri

(Farmington/Festus) The latest state information shows more than 146-thousand Missourians have filed for unemployment over the past two weeks.
For comparison, about seven-thousand people filed a jobless claim during the first two weeks in March.
The figures show the coronavirus pandemic is taking its toll on thousands of Missouri workers and the economy by temporarily closing many businesses.
A record six-point-six-million Americans filed for unemployment last week.
