Valle Catholic Baseball Outlasts Ste. Genevieve, 4-1
(STE. GENEVIEVE) Another chapter was written in the Old Settlement Showdown Thursday afternoon, as the Valle Catholic Warriors defeated Ste. Genevieve 4-1. The Warriors scored their first two runs without recording a hit, but the Dragons would start to rally back in the 6th.

Luke Ferranto came home for Ste. Genevieve. The momentum would not continue for the Dragons, though, as Valle Catholic had a strong 7th inning.

Grant Fallert threw a no-hitter and struck out eight batters en route to a win on the mound for Valle Catholic. Aiden Meyer gets the loss for Ste. Genevieve. Despite the outcome on the scoreboard, Dragons manager Mike McDaniel said it was a fantastic game.

Both Valle Catholic and Ste. Genevieve will hit the road Friday. The now 10-7 Dragons head north to take on St. Pius in Festus, and the now 26-1 Warriors will see a tough Chester squad in Illinois.
