(Ste. Genevieve) The Valle Catholic football team loves to throw the pigskin around the yard, but doing so requires talented receivers catching those passes and making plays.

Aiden Heberlie has been one of the best in the area at doing exactly that, and for the second consecutive year, he was named to the Regional Radio Football Dream Team.

He says he appreciates area coaches choosing him once again.

In his junior season this year, Heberlie accounted for 38 catches for 950 yards and 15 touchdowns.

He is also a standout in the secondary on defense as he racked up 13 passes defended and three interceptions.

He returned two of those interceptions for touchdowns and also had two punt return touchdowns on the year.

Heberlie has been fortunate to have some seriously talented All-State quarterbacks throwing him the ball in his time at Valle with Chase Dunlap last year and Chase Fallert this year.

He says that has made his job a lot easier, and he likes the chemistry he and Fallert are building.

Heberlie has done a ton of winning in his time with Valle football.

He was a key part of the offense on last year’s Class 1 state champion and the team is 23-2 overall over the past two seasons.

He says Valle football is like a family.

This season Heberlie earned All-Conference, All-District, and All-State honors.

Over the past two seasons with Valle football, he has over 1700 yards receiving with 27 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

Heberlie also recently verbally committed to play baseball at the Division 1 level with the University of Missouri Tigers.
