Walk To Tackle Heart Disease In St. Francois County Moving

(Farmington) The American Heart Association is making some changes to it’s Walk To Tackle Heart Disease, which traditionally kicks off with the North County-Farmington football game each year. Jen Rogers with the American Heart Association says they’re changing the date because of COVID-19.

Rogers says this event has raised a lot of money over the years to help fight heart disease.

Students from North County and Farmington High Schools compete to see who can raise the most money to fight heart disease. The school that raised the most will get a traveling trophy. The community is also encouraged to organize teams. You can find out more by contacting Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
