West County And Ste. Genevieve Softball Preview

(Ste. Genevieve) As long as mother nature stays out of the way, we’ll broadcast the West County at Ste. Genevieve softball game Wednesday afternoon on AM-800 KREI. Two of the top teams in the MAAA will clash at Leon’s Field in Ste. Genevieve with our coverage beginning at 4:15.

West County are 8-2 and are led in the circle by Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week Gracie Wright. She’s got a 0.3 ERA with 88 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched in nine starts. But coach CJ Wright says the 8-4 Dragons are the team to beat this year…

Ste. Gen were district runner-ups to Central last year. This year, sophomore Ava Greer takes control of the circle. In six games against MAAA opponents, Greer has a 1.85 ERA to go with 45 strikeouts in 34 innings pitched. First pitch is set for 4:30 Wednesday afternoon with pregame coverage starting at 4:15 on KREI.
