West County Girls Back to Final Four With Quarterfinal Win Over Portageville

(Farmington) After making the first final four school history last year, the West County girls are headed back to Springfield with their 40-21 Class 3 Quarterfinal win over Portageville Saturday afternoon at the Farmington Civic Center. West County put on a defensive clinic in the win not allowing a Portageville field goal for the first 15 minutes and 30 seconds of the game. West County didn’t score much either with only a 4-0 lead after one and 15-7 at the half. The bucket opened up a little more in the second half…

Alexis Hedgecorth and Bailey Skiles patrolled the middle with 14 points and 10 rebounds for Hedgcorth and 12 and nine for Skiles.
