West County Standout Dori McRaven Named to Second Straight Regional Radio Dream Team

(Park Hills, Mo.) One of the best all-around players in girls basketball in the area, West County’s Dori McRaven earned herself a second straight Regional Radio Dream Team nod after yet another terrific season.

McRaven says she’s thankful for the recognition from area coaches.

It was a successful year for the Lady Bulldogs as McRaven helped lead West County to a 20-7 record which included an MAAA Small School Division regular season title.

She says she approaches every game as an opportunity to overcome adversity and achieve greatness.

It would be easy for McRaven to rest on her laurels after earning All-Conference and All-District all three years she has played at West County, but it’s a surefire bet that will not be the case.

She says she’s more determined than ever to get back in the gym and accomplish even more in her senior season next year.

This season McRaven averaged 23 points per game, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.

She was named MAAA All-Conference, Class 3 All-District, and Class 3 All-State.
