Work on Horine Road train trestle pushed back to February

(Festus) The scheduled work to renovate and improve the train trestle on Horine Road in Festus has been pushed back to next month. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says with so many pieces and entities involved it was difficult for the railroad to schedule all of them at once.

Camp says residents need to be prepared for the roadway underneath the trestle to be closed for nearly a full day on February 8th.

Camp says the improvements will be it much easier and safer for vehicles to travel underneath.

Again, the date on which the Horine Road traffic underneath the train trestle will be closed will be on Wednesday, February 8th starting around 8 ‘clock in the morning and likely continuing until sometime late that night.
